I didn’t realize I had the ability to write romance but here I am giggling over every scene 😂 I’m not a overly huge contemporary romance reader just bc it’s hard to find a clean one that isn’t super cringe…. but writing them is so fun!!! especially when your mmc is a funny, kind outdoorsy guy with a thick Canadian accent 😂🤭

After hesitating a second, Rhys pressed his lips to my forehead, the touch shooting tingling warmth through my whole body.
I gawked at him. “W-what was that for?”
He glanced at me, blissfully unaware of how he’d turned my insides upside down. “Just… keeping the image.”
I stared at him a moment. “Nobody’s watching.”
The corner of his mouth hitched and he had the audacity to wink at me. “I know.”

I think I said this to Keira before, I’m finding that those who don’t read/write contemporary romance as often tend to write romances better, because they’re not as well-versed in the tropification of romantic relationships, so they feel more real! Idk if that’s even remotely true, but it’s something I noticed!oOoOoOoh a thick Canadian accent 😏 mama mia lol
@Emily I think it’s true! I love romance movies and romance in books but have never been a full blown romance reader. But I’m finding I can write it so much better and easier than any of the other genres I’ve read or written in. It’s more enjoyable too!
