I don’t think I read a single page after my last update. I may have failed my little reading challenge but I don’t think I’m giving up on this one.

This is probably where I’ll be stopping for the night. I didn’t get as far as I would’ve liked. I shall continue tomorrow.

Hundred pages down! The descriptive nature of this book is just so absorbing and captivating.

“She was a living reverie for me: the mere sight of her sparked an almost infinite range of fantasy, from Greek to Gothic, from vulgar to divine.”

So far this book makes me want to walk through a college campus and watch the leaves change color. Unfortunately I, one, am not in college, and two, live in a state where stepping outside feels like I’m standing directly in front of the sun.
Anyway, I’m enjoying this so far! Really interesting despite a rather slow start.

Just started a 10 hour trip. I’m going to try to read this whole book in 10 hours. Will I succeed? No idea lol. Stick around for updates, and if you stop seeing them, it’s probably because I knocked out. I don’t think I’ll get very far tonight, but I am staying in a hotel so the whole reading journey will go on tomorrow as I finish the back half of this trip—and hopefully the book, too!
