“I love her,” I marvel. It’s the same feeling I have for Posy. The warm glow that makes Posy a beacon in the dark also comes from this tiny oblivious being. It’s a miracle, not in a trite way, but in the sense that it’s so unlikely it rearranges reality. I love this baby as much as I love Posy.

“What are you doing now?” My complaint is muffled by cotton and muscle.

“What the fuck does it seem like, Posy?” he says, grouchy as hell. “Cuddling.” He slaps my ass. Hard. “Shut up and take it.”

“He’s not my boss,” I sass, sweetening it with a smack on his leathery cheek. I go to flounce off, but his voice stops me mid-stride.

“No. You’re his.”

Look, I'm not one for mafia romances... but I tried that last one and it was disappointing. So, let's go for reading this for the 4th time.

Knowing he's going to regret this and she's going to humble him makes this awful start worth it.

Seeing a friend's highlights on this book makes me want to re-read again. I need a good book.

I love both of their character arcs.

They changed so much and become amazing people. Not anyone I would want to marry, but definitely great characters!
