This was so good. Love holding Rafi accountable.

Minor we didn’t so much resolution on Theo’s company. Otherwise 5 Stars.

Theos actually greek not Palestinian . I think.

Oh…and there’s the Rafi value. Zahra doesn’t ever want him to lose another friend because of her and that backstory. She’s not the one her brother blames but A+ sisterhood. What Rafi means to Theo.

Zahra’s sense of rejection based on what happened between them, her parents, and the community at large.

+ Their actual feelings too.

Theo— the introspection is spot on for both leads but damn with Theo.

I am not really like either of them but the heartbreak Theo’s got right now for his parents is so touching. I feel it. It’s so tingly. IDK Whatever it is. It’s hitting it’s mark.

His ambition and desperation for his company to not go under.

Theo—I think his experience just breaks my heart. I really like him unequivocally. His friendship with Rafi . Everytime he talks about he was the only person who pulled him or looked out for him when things transpired. His comp to their family having known them forever but very different outcomes and also religion. Two diff Palestinian leads with diff religions.

And there is the 2nd chance of it all with Z.

Zahra x with each of her parents. Mama who loves her daughter but her daughter judges for not standing up to her dad enough. Her dad—my parents threaten to disown they never did. I also didn’t really rebel. It’s still a situation and it’s like oh my god. I worry about stuff like that in the past.

These are the kind of circumstances, characters, and stakes that immediately pull me in!

Zahra: Things are immovable with her family part 1. This meet cute is fast but really charming.

Theo: His dad. My greatest fear in life these days. Got me for sure.

Part 1: Very good at setting up. I wholeheartedly didn’t expect a leap years forward. Peaked to find out more.
