It's interesting because this book is an incredibly intimate picture of Kyle's inner life & yet so much of it is about how he struggles to be vulnerable & how David allowed him to feel comfortable & loved enough on set to be vulnerable. I just got done reading about the filming of the scene where Jeffrey breaks down crying in Blue Velvet and how that was really the first time he was ever able to do that.
