I'm usually a fan of atmospheric reads but the descriptions in this are so redudant, goolishly horrific AND YET metaphorical that they border on becoming platitudes. Also the dialogue is so cryptic, confusing, unnatural, etc etc that it's near incomprehensible.
Doesn't help that the FMC has no consistent personality whatsoever or that the themes keep being repeated over and over again while staying surface level...
