Anyway, I actually went to school with another 2nd cousin from my great-grandpa's bastard line. We even talked occasionally. We follow each other on Instagram like the besties we are - she has absolutely no idea we are related, and I never mentioned it. What was I supposed to say? Sorry, did you know your great-grandma was a certified whore?

My mom told me this story many years ago, and while she listed the kids names in order she would mention "pairs" - but wait, what are pairs? Great-grandpa used to have kids in pairs. Camilla and grandma Diana would get pregnant at the same time pretty much every time they got pregnant. So each kid got a pair.

My mom always used to say, "We're the legitimate line!" with such pride.

Ma'am, wasn't your grandfather himself a bastard from his father's second family? 😭💀

And what if I told you that great-grandpa himself was a bastard child from great-great-grandpa's second family? 😍
