I ended up reading until 2am yesterday, these books have a way of being real slow at the start and then pulling me in completely by like 1/3rd. It's still YA, but once she met her pregnant cousin in the harem, I knew we were gonna have something juicy. Had I read this as a teen, the whole birth => escape attempt => execution would've made me cry. For now, I got misty. That was stronger than I expected.
