I love the writing and the way the main character is shamelessly unadmirable. This is not an idealised 17-19 year old and I really like that. But what I'm missing from the 17-early 20's experience however is just how much you change year to year. the first 2 or so years in the book go by really quickly and even though this is "magic college," I would have liked to see the sophomore year Quentin be slightly different.
