'To cover all of Medea's afterlives comprehensively would require a multivolume encyclopedia. In this chapter I offer a highly selective overview on some of the more striking receptions.'
if you didn't spend 5 chapters and 137 pages recounting Medea's entire life then maybe you could've gone through some more, idk. this book really wasn't what i thought it was going to be :/

‘But the bard told her had always been bisexual’
Should it not be ‘But the bard told her that he had always been bisexual’? Has this book not been proofread? And what a weird sentence regardless??

‘Medea sees herself as an agent of Zeus’ justice and an adherent of divine rather than human law.’
It’s an interesting point to make, and to be honest one I’ve personally never thought about before. It almost makes her make more sense to me.
