barely made a dent into the thing and i've already sent a sizeable first impression to my partner. i'll just be copy-pasting a bunch of that and add along the further i get into the book:

the writing style is kind of "put first immediate thought of the protagonist into writing without really thinking much of it, not matter how choppy the sentences are"

i've yet to determine whether i like it or not
