"Coast Patrol" was about a WWII pilot, early in the war, in an amphibious plane, investigating a ship. It had betrayals, combat, and an Immelmann turn!

"Under the Hanging Wall" was an effective murder mystery involving a mine, an insurance agent, a wife, a sheriff, and a daughter. I liked it.

In "Crash Landing," a plane has crashed onto the mountain side and a man must get the survivors out before it falls off the cliff... tense. I liked that the conflict was time and courage - not people arguing with him. No one argued with him or asked who put him in charge. He took charge, everyone did as he said, and people started getting out. It was just a question whether everyone one would get out or not.

Oh wow, "Sideshow Champion" was so much fun to read. It was a boxing story. Characters on both sides of the fence that I liked, a romance going bad, and writing that felt almost like a Robert E. Howard boxing story. This story was well worth the purchase price of the book.

"Roundup in Texas" was a Western, and had a great cast of characters who had to figure out why his cattle deal wasn't working out like it should, with a shoot-out at the end. I enjoyed this one.

"Meeting at Falmouth" took place in England, and an American overhears a plot against a Frenchman, and takes the Frenchman's side. This story had an interesting twist in the last line.

"By the Waters of San Tadeo" was an interesting story about a father and daughter who became trapped on a Chilean shore. The father dies and the girl must make her escape.
