that is VERY very sad bc all of this was set in motion. which continues to prove why magicians can’t the by themselves and need to be under an apprentice or royal. and furthermore why are they not more restricted or their powers not more known/checked?? because her being able to transform into everyone all the time is mental - no1 is ever suspicious

why the hell would she do that

“i was forever ruined for mortal men and told him so”

LOVE the way she speaks within the sentences and doesn’t make it dialogue. very rachel gillig esque, i wonder what this style of writing is called? when the dialogue is wrapped up into the prose - it makes the writing feel very romantic and quite immersive i think.

“this is what i had been born to do: to make and unmake kings” very fitz and the fool esque

yesss excellent levels of betrayal!! i’m happy we didn’t spend so long with them being a “found family” because it’s so late in the book and we don’t need to fake create any new bonds. such a smart move though!

wow there is MUCH more political intrigue and scheming happening now - also a bit of a found family vibe happening too

aww well done bianca girl!!

wow okay this part reminds me of the second death of locke actually- what grey can do with her magic

oh hal 🥹😭
i can’t keep reading these tragedies honestly
