Repetitive structure. Obviously this was a collections of satirical letters. However I see how each letter has its own small narrative and satirical objective. It creates a very loose but followable narrative of a specific man’s life and his temptations.

Phewwww… this one is dragging a little. Feels a tad lecture-ish at almost halfway through. Some letters are better than others for sure. The one just read about gluttony didn’t make much sense to me. Kinda feels a little nit picky with many human action perceived as “falling to temptations” when the one letter was talking about a guy who like getting streaks a specific restaurant.

Not “getting this” as much as I’ve been able to understand other authors and immerse myself into their flow and thought process. Definitely a different style than I’ve read before. Theological satire rather than Kurt’s ideological and class based satire.
