Ok I think I figured out why this book doesn’t hit as hard as book one - the timeline is so all over the place that it’s hard to follow what everyone is doing at which time. I can piece it together using context clues but it’s not “easy” in the same way Vicious is.

Obsessed with the husband dynamic between Victor and Mitch in this one - truly off the charts levels of sarcasm. Victor dad of all time waiting on the couch for Sydney to get home. Mitch and Sydney learning together while Victor goes out and kills people for drugs we love a weird family.
