Can we talk about how damaged Baru’s body is since Sieroch? It’s not been a year since Sieroch and her body has been battered so much.

Yes, freedom is messy and complicated when dealing with a society and diverse people. But there’s too much hubristic chance in thinking you can build the perfect society under the perfect conditions.

The battle between Falcrest and Mbo, Hard science vs Myth, Torrinde’s proofs vs Farrier’s proofs, Baru vs The Masquerade. We’re caught in many battles of twos. I’m sure these different battles converge at some point and my suspicion is that that point is the matter of ideology and belief. Science vs. Myth.
