I’m at the point where Charlie is going through what seems to be his first moral dilemma. He catches his coworker Gimpy stealing from Mr. Donner (his boss) and he is trying to navigate his first ethical struggle!

I love this book, its so interesting

Yay, I’m finally at the part where Charlie is starting to improve in his intelligence. It’s really beautiful to witness, but it’s sad as he slowly recognizes that the people he thought were friends, who he loved and whom he believed loved him were actually bullying him.

Being ignorant is blissful, Charlie was happy at first , but as his knowledge increases, so does his sorrow. :(

i’m in the beginning and I really enjoy the book. Charlie is such a sweet person, he’s very pure and all he wants is to be smart, and it makes me sad that he’s accepted this belief that he’s almost deserving of no friends and even no family love because of the fact that he has a low IQ and isn’t smart.

jessica ♡ update~ on page 96. Charlie decides to confront Gimpy directly about the issue, but the thought process behind it is what I really found interesting. I feel like I can apply it to my own life.

In his process of figuring out what to do, he talks with his professor, psychiatrist, and Miss Alice. In the end, it was inconclusive! He has to decide for himself what is the right thing to do. No one can choose these type of things for him. He can ask for advice, but that changes depending on the person, thus it’s best to do what makes you feel most comfortable. There isn’t a rule book when it comes to these things.
