Earlier the trash was “in“ the floor instead of on the floor. Now there are papers in the floor instead of on the floor. Is this guy just stupid? No, I’m serious. He has to be completely stupid.

“Oil company” is two words. Who the fuck is Cormac McCarthy and why the fuck is he making up his own stupid, random rules? I hate this man with the fire of a thousand suns.

I can’t tell who’s fucking talking. The dialogue is atrocious.

This book is choppy and boring. I hate the inconsistent use of punctuation here, but none there. No fucking quotation marks. This page in particular doesn’t make sense because the way it’s written suggests the boy is saying something but I think actually the man is but I have no fucking idea because this author can’t fucking write.

I don’t feel like scanning back through the pages but, unless I’m having déjà vu, he already used “the sun circles the Earth like a grieving mother with a lamp.”

“Dining room” and “living room” are each two words, Mr. McCarthy.

“He’d” has an apostrophe. “Didn’t” does not. What’s the purpose of this?

But “I’m” has an apostrophe? 😐

Wait, why are we not putting apostrophes in the word “don’t?” Why does this author hate punctuation?

I’m the mother of a little boy, and already I can tell this book is going to kill me. I’ve seen the movie, but the books are always so much more emotional. I don’t know if I can handle this.
