Okay I was kinda on the fence about Byron just because I don’t believe he was a good friend to Lex all those years he was proxying with Ren. Like, he could feel like a third wheel but he is the one that put himself in that position despite knowing the situation and how they felt about each other. BUT holy fuck is his backstory tragic. Truly blameless and doesn’t deserve to be there.
