The thing I hate the most about romance books is the constant feeling of nothing ever happening and having little to no progress at all.
Like show me the characters actually caring about each other. Show me how they start a relationship and how they learn to love each other beyond the initial will they won't they. That's the shiii I need 😭😭

I agree with you wholeheartedly, my friend! Many authors choose to tell us that their characters fall in love with one another (in many cases we don't even know why) instead of showing us. I like to see characters fall for one another gradually, step by step, so I could actually see it and believe in it.
