It’s losing me. It’s just so slow and meandering. I don’t even necessarily dislike slow or meandering books, but the prose isn’t carrying quite enough to hold me. I’m going to keep reading to see if it gets better but idk. It’s also a bit preachy/up in its soapbox It’s just not really my taste, which is a bit let down

Pleasantly surprised so far!! I was excited to start this one, but wanted to wait for October to come around to set the right atmosphere. It’s gripping, readable, and a bit unsettling. Consider me hooked
