i just reread the blurb and it IS literally the French Revolution/Haitian Revolt from the perspective of fucking Robespierre, PM William Pitt, Louveture, and other real historical players of the century 💀 we might be dnfing esp if they downplay slavery as a “black ppl don’t have magic white ppl do”

i think this book is just the politics of the late 1700s but with magic….like why tf is marie antoinette being name dropped and why is she a fire mage….
