What I said is Book was amazing. It was amazing.

The book is titled educate it because it talks about how her becoming more educated about people the world, different ways of lies and different beliefs, affected her own lifestyle in her relationships with her family

The story u have of someone is different than story that they have about themselves, which is different than the story that the next person has about them
The story that you have about yourself is different than the story ur best friend has about u which is different than the story that one ur siblings have about you which is different than the story. A random person u met one day in the grocery store has about u

Her oldest brother both her parents are awful, treat her very poorly and still do according to how the text ends
in their minds, they are justified in their actions and in what they continue to choose
That doesn’t mean it’s correct or right ethically or morally but they continue to choose a particular stance to take and behaviors to engaging in because of reasons unknown to us

In the reasoning behind, it isn’t always so plain
People may talk to you a certain way and treat you a certain way not just bc of you but bc of how they feel about themselves bc of how someone 20 years ago made them feel about themselves because that person was dealing with hurt from someone else
That doesn’t make people wrong and you justifiable or excusable just saying there’s different parts to everyone

There is a line at the very end of the book the book ends, and there’s a acknowledgments and then there’s a note on the text and then that section it says
We are all of us more complicated than the roles. We are assigned in the stories other people town this is especially true in families.
There are reasons people have treated you the way that they have talked to you the way that they did with a good or bad

Was amazing. I think it was written well as if she’s just having a conversation with you. It doesn’t feel textbook or super dense.
It’s relatable for me, and I think she did a good job of fully shaping the people in the story to give an idea of who they are how they think and how they behave in general, not just toward her

multiple times he referred to formal education as whoring after mens knowledge and everyone’s overly worldly and sinful
But when she starts singing in choir everyone starts praising her + parents all a sudden his main priority is make sure she makes it to reheral+performances bc he wants the praise, he out whoring after Man’s validation and if what he said is true then ur pimping ur daughter for mans validation

When she or her siblings, do talk about getting a formal education and going to school or going to college her dad refers to it as whoring after Man’s knowledge if he did see her with books are trying to study he make her do random charges or ask her do random things just so she get away from the books

Everything she knows about the world is what has been told to her by her parents and people along the way in life
she’s not learning to read or to write or to do mathematics she’s not learning American history, world, history, psychology
She’s not introduced to different ideas and ways of thinking and religions are given the space and opportunity to form her own thoughts and opinions about different subjects
