PREDICTIONS
I predict that Bruno will get in trouble for being friends with Shmuel. One clue is that Bruno has to sneak over to the fence to talk Shmuel because his parents don't know they are friends. Another clue is that Bruno notices how skinny Shmuel is and that he wears striped pajamas like other people behind the fence. I think Bruno will try to help him but is scared something bad might happen.

prediction is that the people like the Germany people might come to the camp and try looking for the people that are at the camp because at that time the Holocaust was happening and they were killing a lot of Jewish people so that's why I think they might come to the camp to try and search for the kids. I also think that the reason that they are at the camp is so they don't have to see all the stuff that ishappenin

POINT OF VIEW
The boy in the striped pajamas is the third person point of view. The story is from Brunos point of view. We know this because we learn what Bruno thinks, sees, feels but we don't know how the other characters in the story feel.

Protagonist
I think the protagonist is bruno because he is the main character and the book is told from his point of view. He is a 9 year old boy. He thinks about his home in Berlin and doesn't understand why he had to move. He thinks his new home is not nice. He is interesting in the people behind the fence. He feels lonely and sad and confused and bored. He misses his family and friends.

The genre of my book is historical fiction. It is historical fiction because it is a made up story that takes place during a real time in history. The real time in history was World War II and the Holocaust. I haven't read enough to know if there are any other genres in my book.

Bruno has to move because his dad got a important new job. He is not happy that he has to move from his home and leave his best friends. He doesn't know what type of work his dad has to do but it's an important job.
