I’m finding this reading experience very fluid so far - I read for an hour without realising it.
I thought the main character was a girl for the first 35 pages.
Everything feels somehow light despite the awful circumstances - the energy crossed with an earned existentialism creates a kind of bubble around the main characters - occasionally broken by reminders of how young and tragic the protagonists are
