This is so short, so I'll push through and finish it, but I'm not really enjoying myself.. It's very drawn out for a tiny novella, and the narrator repeats the same sentiments over and over

I have to admit that despite this being a short work it doesn't read very quickly to me. The narration became really repetitive, the woman telling the story repeats the same thoughts over and over (I literally thought I made a mistake and am reading pages I already read) - yes, we understand you consider yourself very brave and that all you want is to protect the children.. how about we move on??
