The conflict in my book is Character VS Society. Because in the book, the people are putting bans on Animals, animals who have human behaviors, and Elphaba is wanting to lift up those bans and let the Animals be themselves. But Madame Morrible and all sorts of people are telling her to just let it go. They are trying to silence her from standing up for the Animals.

The setting is 1900 in the Land of Oz and something interesting about it is that they are having a huge political conflict because people have been putting bans on Animals.

"Against his elegant shaven neck the lining seemed like single ribbon of privilege." (94)

In the next part, I predict that Dr.Dillamond will be taken from his job after his outrage about the apothegm "Animals should be seen and not heard."

"It's a cleverness, isn't it?" said Elphaba. " I mean the last line, you couldn't tell by that fancy accent whether it was meant to be Animals or animals. No wonder Dillamond's furious." (85)

"Entrancing," she said. "There's some strange exotic quality of beauty about you. I never thought."

It takes place in the Land of Oz in the 1900's.

The supporting character so far is Dr. Dillamond.

I read 5 pages.
