I'm embarrassed I'm reading this book--it tries to substitute gimmicks and parlor games for decent, let alone good, let alone intelligent writing/thinking. Maybe when I was 20 I would have found this remarkable. But now...having read so much traditionally constructed text that is so remarkable...the games get old. Real old. Real fast. And on the sparsest pages...the worst writing.
