I'm a third of the way through (and this is my second read, the first being back in 2006 when I gave it 4 stars). It's just one horrid, sick, deranged character after another. I've not read such a depressing book before (well, apparently I did back in 2006, when I was young and unbroken). I keep thinking the next story isn't going to be so depressing. But then it is. May be my last.
