wow this book was truly amazing very eye opening and highlights big issues there is. amazing author. theres so much mire to talk about in this book omg but after finishing reading this book i was like stunned i couldnt think for a few minutes Wow truly amazed. LOL to think at first I wasnt to keen on the book its cos i thought it was a murder book lmaoo but im so glad i read this. omg

We see how strane would say all these things to lessen the blame on himself so he doesnt feel guilty. like when he would say stuff you want this. I only did it because you was willing and so on. he was a big fat pedo he was before he met vanessa too Vanessa didnt do anything. He already was like this and he blames “unfortunately falling in love” as a justification and then he carries on grooming otheryoung girls

Vanessa would paint it as a love story so that she doesnt have to face the truth, the pain. this book truly truly highlighted for me how hard it must be for people who have been through this. A relationship she experienced as love but it was her being exploited. how hard it must be to come to that

and the people who did say something or tried to like jenny trying to do something about it but the school failed to care, because its ‘uncomfortable’ for them. People trying to act like its not a big deal as it’s uncomfortable but look where that leads. This enables it. Also i love how to book shows like for Vanessa how hard jt can be for the victim

hands down one of the best books. You see how people would look over the abuse that happened to vanessa. How the school didnt take it seriously, how her mother like as if she was sweeping it under the rug someething she didnt want to face but that too is extremely damaging. How normalised it is for young girls to talk about it like in highschool the girls asking was he hot? or bridget not saying anything too

so first he gaslights when she comes to his house confronting him then hes undermining what she went through making her feel like shes making it a big deal? making her think that he didnt harm her. He did. him blaming that he had happened to fall inlove with her like it was out of control is wrong. Only saying that cos the guy cant bring himself to admit hes wrong and a pedo. He wants to think his morals are good…

it seems like a shift in the way she is now that shes at home. her obsession with lolita too and older guys. anything to connect with strane.
