Really enjoying the way all the plot threads are coming together. Reading Ellroy takes stamina, but reading this first thing in the morning, over coffee, with a clear head, is a delight. Is it weird I had a dream last night that I was hanging out with The Demon Dog and then he took me to the airport?

RED SHEET is so chock full of information, Ellroy is repeating the details every 20/30 pages. Love the writing, but it's a lot to take in, page after page.

Ellroy's latest is a blast to read. It's him reconstructing history with some of the most colorful characters I've ever found in his books. Reading it slowly so I can absorb it (it's so dense) but am about to blaze through the rest of it, it's so good.
