I’m enjoying this! The storyline moves quickly and tracks from land to sea and back again. Small clues of grief, loss and death anxiety are integrated well. Birds, a professor and the yearning for a lost mother. Poetry enters briefly in places is lovely!

I’m enjoying this already even though birds and the arctic zone and climate change hold little interest. There is already meaningful depth in the central character Frannie and the author is building intrigue quickly - only 2 chapters in! Hooray!
