“We’ve been looking for you every—” Bell's eyes flit briefly to my father, their nostrils flaring and their words die on their tongue.
Something passes between them, recognition maybe? Discomfort?
Whatever it is vanishes almost instantly as Bell smooths down the front of their jacket and looks away. Strange.

I've just been with a sudden longing for the Hunter in chapter 1, I really liked him. Current Hunter is all fine, but it just doesn't hit the same

Sadie's a bitch but I still feel bad for her. Even if she's been manipulating Evans, she does truly want to find love. It seems like she was sold the idea she needs a high standing alpha and is trying to make it happen. Your heart has to bleed for a girl who's bought the lie.

Still kinda pissing me off, I don't like a coming out story kinda for this reason but I get it and my heart does hurt for them

I was too worn down, both mentally and physically. “Can we…can we just pretend we’re okay for a minute?”

“Just be here. Be real,” I whisper, letting a tear slip from beneath my lashes and roll down my cheek.
I feel the presence settle next to me, as I lay there in silence. A finger brushes against mine, before our pinkies link. “I can do that.”
