audio by Simon Vance checked out from Hoopla. Penguin print in paperback brought?? sometime back off shelf. On list of classics for 2026. First Hardy in many years. enjoying it. Good story of man sells his daughter and wife drunk. Regrets and changes his life. Wife and daughter return 18 years later.
