The novel thats inspired 1984. You can clearly see the influence. It’s a shame you don’t see much talk of We after writing the 20th century dystopian blueprint.

The optimization of every aspect of life lead them all to believe they were the most superior humans in all history, but it made them so fragile that something as mild as a confusing dream, or jealousy can shatter reality.

The chapters end too abruptly. A bit of a whiplash effect that keeps me from becoming fully immersed. Dialogue is stunted at times, could be a transition issue. I appreciate the satire. Apparently this also inspired Vonnegut. “Your favorite novelist’s favorite novel” territory?
