'The Dream': The second Poirot of the collection was obviously going to be a delight that delivered a highly entertaining locked room mystery with a suspenseful, seemingly supernatural element. (4 stars)
'Wireless': Poor Mrs Harter... but what a fabulous short story! (4.75 stars)
'The Wife of the Kenite': Despite still enjoying/being entertained by this one, I didn't love it as much as the others (3.25 stars)

So far, there's been a mixed bag of both spirit and detective goodness (and a couple of truly meh ones...) but by God was my hair on end and heart pounding throughout 'The Lamp'. Less than 10 pages and haunted by a ghostly melancholy child? This was the horror story that I didn't know I was craving for this spooky season!
Favourite stories so far: 'The Lamp', 'In a Glass Darkly', 'The Gipsy' & 'Philomel Cottage'
