I'm a big fan of mathematics kicking biology in its metaphorical nuts for 200 years (actually much longer lol)

to my brain the concept of "mathematics of change" is basically euphoria inducing for some reason

I keep forgetting the plague was so big in western Europe. Every time it surprises me over and over again, one would think I'd get used to it by now but nope

Mihai Zodian Sounds interesting. I followed a half science, half humanistic high school and classical mechanics was important there. Did you read The Baroque Cycle, by Neal Stephenson?

bookslayer★ This book for me is one big "I've been wondering about that actually". It's giving something my philosophy professor would have loved, a historical and cultural slice that gives context to the evolution of the philosophy of science. It repeats itself quite a lot to get the point across but it's also hilarious so I'll let it slide LOL
Cryptonomicon was the first book I ever bought off ebay (it's been sitting on the shelf for twenty years but still)
