I was kind of scared to read this bc translations pmo most of the time but I realized this was originally in French and I’m like so used to reading Japanese and Chinese translations which are sooooo much more difficult to translate and not sound like shit

And I keep forgetting that books from 1900 were not written in like Medieval English this is not Shakespeare Dracula traumatized me
