I’m not sure if I interpreted this correctly but did she just say in the book that we don’t write in Chinese anymore and many people do not know how to write Chinese characters? Is she talking about Chinese raised/born aboard kids or Taiwanese people in general? Taiwanese people do write in Chinese (hand write) and you still have to at school it’s not all on a computer
