hmmm, it's kind of strange. This entire 2nd part of the Valley of Fear seems to be the set up behind the murder in part 1. It's not bad, but it's basically a frontier/western story with zero Holmes or even detective elements. I hope ACD doesn't take too long in bringing together all the threads, as things stand the later half is in danger of drowning the first.
