It has been interesting to read this book while watching The Chosen. They take very different approaches to a world-famous story.
Saramago's Jesus is depicted in a deeply human way: very carnal, almost feral. It is beautiful to see this take on the verse "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us."

Escrita difícil, leitura menos fluida que esperava, mas a perspectiva da história é muito interessante.
