i found this when i reread the first 4 recently too! i was surprised bc i remember really loving it upon first read (though that was 20 years ago) but this time i was basically skimming anything that wasn't the gunslingers or the big coffin hunters. jonas is a deeply unpleasant person but at least he's *interesting*.
