Elizabeth Hoyt must have had so much fun writing this book. Val is literally NUTS! A straight up sociopath. And yet utterly fascinating and alluring. Bridget is a wonderfully complex and interesting character too, and somehow the perfect match for him. The most bonkers of all the bonkers Maiden Lane books and I'm absolutely loving this reread.

OMG, the hero of this book is no joke. He's not some rake in name only - he's bad news! But fascinating and sexy and oddly vulnerable, too. The heroine is great as well. Enjoying the heck out of this so far. It's definitely not predictable or cookie-cutter so far!

Once again being a sheep and reading what everyone else is reading! I hope I like this one more than the Marrying Peppercorn (TM my friend Megan) book. ;)
