Brb dying inside from the beautifully written stupidity of these characters. Like why would you allow a CHILD to make sure the car was packed when you know a snow storm is heading in. It's explained why but as someone who has driven through snow storms and gone to places with no cell service, I am dying LOL.
Also the dropping hints and foreshadowing is amazing and is keeping me hooked.

So here's the thing. Mazelle's POV has better pacing and more interesting content while Johnny's POV doesn't have the same level of attachment and depth that Mazelle's has. Also the pacing is off on Johnny's POV because of Mazelle's POV. I think the duel POV is what weakens the book.
Still a fantastic book, do not get me wrong.
