It’s less of a “wet blanket” and more of a “stop trying to flirt with me, you weirdo I was forced to marry against my will and don’t want to interact with” 😅

he needs to learn to shut up and take a compliment. better yet, use his looks to his advantage. like lanzhou did. thou there is a whole abyss of difference between him and lanzhou.
