Oh, you're telling me the most obvious evil plot in the history of evil plots was, in fact, evilly plotted??? This is so dumb. Rurisk's death wasn't noble. It was just stupid. Welp, the dog is alive, so there's that.

A man named SHREWD doesn't see this coming?! The ever-jealous spare heir, REGAL, arranges a marriage for the king-in-waiting, who can't attend thanks to secret, draining magic Regal conveniently can't use. So Regal stands in at his brother's wedding, and Verity even admits Regal won't choose well for him. NOBODY clocks the obvious plot to steal the throne?!?! You can't tell me these people are smart and miss this.

Burrich taking matters into his own hands, and by matters I mean Galen, and by taking I mean beating the shit out of him. As satisfying as that was, the best part was seeing how much he actually cares. And yes, I absolutely clocked him calling Fitz "son."

YOU MEAN CHADE HAS BEEN A BASTARD THIS WHOLE TIME?! He went through everything Fitz has gone through, knows exactly what it's like to be the unwanted royal secret the crown keeps around as a tool, and he STILL put Fitz through it anyway?! Suddenly his defense of Chivalry makes a lot more sense, and I hate it. Chade isn't just Fitz's mentor. He's a warning about who Fitz could become.
