Ugh, primal play scenes (in general) are so fucking boring. I think Chokehold is one of the few books. That had this that actually had me interested?

And once again, while my brain is apparently fine with the objectification of men's bodies, it's completely and utterly swuicked out at the objectification of women's bodies. Chapter 16 has me so deeply uncomfortable.

I need to look into some MF that's on the other side of dark romance - your MF From Nothings, or your MF Felix and Jakes... Hell, your The Monster and the Masochists!

Like, the stereotypical aggressors in these books really need to be told exactly this more often, because they refuse to have ANY fucking chill. I think Marcus Osborn may be one of the few exceptions?

Ah, no, it was a "cheap habit", which, yes, chewing gum is much cheaper than cigarettes. I'm sure you buy the most expensive brand there is to boot. God forbid someone have a habit of drinking tap water.

FFS, Rina. No woman would say "sweat trickles in the valley between my breasts", especially in a non-sexual situation. Maybe "sweat runs down my cleavage", or sure, "sweat trickles down my cleavage", or even "sweat trickles between my boobs/breasts". But no, Rina, you need to make your women weirdly self-sexualizing.

This is why I hate reading books with FMCs.

Listening to God of Ruin so I can watch the vert and see how bad that is based on more than Malice, Fury, Kiss, and Hunt (and my skimming of the other LoG books). Ruin is gonna have the most overlap with Fury, I figure. I honestly am thinking they won't even bother with Fury, tbh, and I hope that's true. Already Bran isn't Lan's twin, which is fucking absurd.

Anyway, Lan and Mia, here I come. (No pun intended.)
