I fokking love this book. Cannot wait to write a somewhat coherent review about it. I will not do it justice. My secondhand copy is old though, I wonder if they would ever reprint it.

Wolfe is such a snarky biatch in his footnotes. I love him.

“The wine was Golden Mediasch”

So my autocorrect corrected that to mediaschandaal which is hilarious. But the fact that the footnote is about how no one knows what kind of wine Stoker was talking about is amazing. I wonder if he changed it because of copyright infringement-ish reasons?

That is one big ass footnote about St. George’s Day!

I am reading this in tandem with daily Dracula en the podcast ‘Re: Dracula’ because the footnotes are hilarious and informative.
