Man this book is gorgeous.
"With what meditations did Bloom accompany his demonstration to his companion of various constellations?
...of the parallax or parallactic drift of socalled fixed stars, in reality evermoving wanderers from immeasurably remote eons to infinitely remote futures in comparison with which the years, threescore and ten, of allotted human life formed a parenthesis of infinitesimal brevity."

I first read all of Circe, the longest chapter of Ulysses by an astronomical margin, back at the start of June. After weeks of going over it, helping prepare questions for our community, and wrapping up 10 weeks of in-depth discussion, we have now completed Circe and I can confidently say everyone should read this book, there is simply nothing like it. I laughed, I cried, and it all ends with a carrot in a butt.
