I’m not rating this because I don’t know how useful it is to writers, but since I’ve read this I’ve noticed the hidden structures behind movies. For eg, I realized there was a literal STC moment in Act One of the Odyssey on rewatch, because I learned about it from here. Now watching movies is like figuring a puzzle it’s more fun :) I’m thinking of reading the novel one so I can analyze books better too.

I bought this book a while back, because I was curious about screenwriters’ as opposed to directors’ jobs since no one really talked about them, but it turned out to be an actual guide to writing, not just yapping about the job :’(( I am determined to finish this though because it was expensive :(
